As the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD), we organized the XIII. The Corporate Governance Summit was held on 24-25 February 2021 with the participation of experts from the public, business world and international fields. Speaking at the opening of the two-day online summit, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that companies have to implement corporate governance elements within their means. TKYD Chairman of the Board Feyyaz Ünal stated that the life of companies in Turkey is limited to a quarter of a century and said, “We are entrepreneurs, but we cannot sustain this. If we do not manage our companies corporately, we will become a ‘small company country’. The first day of the summit with the main theme of “The Compass of the Sustainable Business World: Corporate Governance” organized in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) this year brought together experts from the public, business world and international fields.
