
Deputy Secretary General
Hande Gürtepe was born in Istanbul in 1982. After completing her high school education at Fenerbahçe High School, she graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Promotion in 2004. Following her university education, she worked as a client relations manager at various agencies, providing communication consultancy to both national and international brands.
Hande Gürtepe joined the TKYD team in July 2012 as the Education and Project Manager and has continued her role as the Education and Project Director since 2021. Since joining TKYD, she has been responsible for coordinating working groups and overseeing their annual activities, managing processes with relevant stakeholders, developing content and operational processes for training programs, coordinating the International Corporate Governance Summit, and overseeing communication efforts.
She serves as the news director of Kurumsal Yönetim Dergisi, TKYD’s periodical publication, and is responsible for coordinating the Kurumsal Yönetim Değerlendirme Raporu, the organization’s periodic report. Throughout her tenure, she has contributed to and coordinated several key TKYD publications and reports, including TKYD&TAİDER Araştırma Raporu: Gelecek Neslin İşe Bakışı (2023), TKYD&BCG Türkiye Kurumsal Yönetim Pusulası Raporu (2023), Yönetim Kurullarının Etkili İşleyişinde Komitelerin Rolü (2022), Türkiye’de Aile Şirketleri İçin Kurumsal Yönetim: Neden ve Nasıl Uygulanmalı? (2021), Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi Oryantasyonu El Kitabı (2018), Uluslararası Uygulamalar Çerçevesinde Şirket Genel Sekreteri (2018), BIST Yönetim Kurulları Araştırması (2016), Bağımsız Yönetim Kurulu Üyeleri Ücret Araştırması (2016), and Kurumsal Yönetim İlkeleri Işığında Sivil Toplum Kuruluşları Yönetim Rehberi (2014).
As of January 2025, she continues her role as Deputy Secretary General.
