Adnan Akan spent 30 years of his career at PwC Turkey from 1993 until 2023. He was the leader of the Assurance line of service between 2012 and 2021.
He also led the Consumer Markets industry and the PwC German Desk from the date of his admission to partnership in 2002 until his leave in 2023.
Adnan Akan is specialized in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Capital Market Board Regulations.
Throughout his career Adnan also worked in Hungary and India on long-term assignments.
He is a member of the Management Board of Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD) and the Supervisory Board of Fenerbahçe Sports Club.
Adnan Akan is a Chartered Accountant in Turkey and holds a Public Oversight Board and Treasury Independent Audit Licenses.
Adnan Akan is a graduate of Sankt Georg Austrian High School and Business Administration department of Bosphorus University. He speaks fluently English and German, both at managerial levels.
Adnan is married and has two children.
