Şirin Soysal joined KPMG in 1999. She has 20 years audit experience and she is currently acting as a partner in Audit Department. She is also sustainability services leader of KPMG Turkey. She was seconded to KPMG International Standards Group (ISG) based in London, UK for one year to provide support to KPMG member firms for accounting, auditing and sector specific client issues.
Upon completion of her secondment; she has been promoted as Head of KPMG Turkey’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP) till end of 2017. DPP provides technical accounting guidance for KPMG clients.
She currently acts as the chair to the Audit Committee Institute (ACI) of KPMG Turkey.Her wide sectoral experience includes telecommunications, energy, conglomerates, manufacturing, services, automotive and retail. In addition to Turkish accounting applications, she is also an expert on IFRS and US GAAP and SOX 404. She has also carried out a number of special assignments, including due diligence reviews, initial public reviews and agreed upon procedures.
